Istanbul Carpet Week is a yearly event. The first edition of Istanbul Carpet Week ran from October 2016 in the Istanbul. The event includes Istanbul Rug Show, Istanbul International Carpet Conference and also The National Carpet Design Contest. Istanbul Carpet Week is organized by the İstanbul Halı İhracatçıları Birliği (IHIB), that’s the ‘Istanbul Carpet Exporter’s Association’ in english, with Hali og Cover magazines as media partners.
'''Istanbul Carpet Week''' (Turkish: istanbul hali haftasi) is a specialized carpet exhibition that aims to present and introduce carpets, every year in October from 2016 in Istanbul. Different types of carpets, rugs, and kilims from different regions of Turkey in species sizes and colors displayed in this exhibition. In this exhibition, producers, suppliers, traders, exporters and various entities come together to enhance the export capability of Turkey in carpet goods and promote Turkish carpet sector around the world. During the Istanbul Carpet Week, there are daily workshops for visitors and enthusiasts, offering topics such as carpet recognition in different parts of Turkey.
