Nazmiyal Collection is an American private company that buys and sells antique and decorative carpets and textiles. The company established in 1980 in New York and its collections contains carpets from Persia, Turkey, the Caucasus, China, Egypt, Europe, Morocco, and the Americas, including rare carpets from the 16th century, and textiles from the 4th century. Also, they provide services such as rug restoration, antique carpet repair, rug cleaning, rug rental, and antique rug appraisals.
History of Nazmiyal Collection
The Nazmiyal Collection was founded in 1980 in New York by Jason Nazmiyal, and since then Nazmiyal is recognized as one of the premier antique rug galleries with some of the most exquisite masterpieces. The Collection features a 5,000 square feet (460 m2) gallery.[1]
Nazmiyal Collection provided carpets for use as backdrops in an exhibition of works by artist Paul Thek at the Whitney Museum.[2] The Morgan Library and Museum installed a Nazmiyal carpet during the renovation of their library in 2010.[3]
Purpose
As Jason Nazmiyal said: "My goal at Nazmiyal is to give our clients the finest rugs with greatest range of choices at the best value."[4]
