Iran National Carpet Center is a government-run institution in the field of carpets in Iran, which has been created with the aim of centralizing the policies, planning, and affairs related to the production and trade of handmade carpets. In 2003, according to the decision of the Supreme Administrative Council, all matters related to the policy, planning, supervision, guidance, and support of the handmade carpet industry, its related research and development and the preparation of technical standards and requirements for production and export, and related support measures, separated from all other government agencies and assembled under authority of the Ministry of Commerce as the National Iranian Carpet Center.
